At the time, SHEPIL products were represented at Svoyeridne, a Kharkiv showroom that brought together furniture, lighting, and accessories by Ukrainian designers and craftsmen. Its carefully selected collection created a space where visitors could not only find distinctive interior pieces, but also explore new ideas, materials, and approaches to contemporary Ukrainian design.
This collaboration became one of our first experiences of working with a showroom and therefore holds a special place in the history of SHEPIL. It was an important step in presenting our work beyond the workshop and introducing the pieces to a wider local audience. Being part of Svoyeridne also gave us the opportunity to share our approach to furniture design alongside the work of other Ukrainian makers.
Looking back, this project remains an important part of our journey — one of the early moments that helped shape the way SHEPIL presents its work, develops collaborations, and builds its presence within the design community. Experiences like this gave us a better understanding of how our pieces live outside the workshop and become part of a broader interior context. They also marked the beginning of a more open dialogue with architects, designers, showrooms, and people who share our appreciation for thoughtful craftsmanship and distinctive materials.
For us, Svoyeridne was more than a point of presentation — it was an early test of how SHEPIL could exist in dialogue with a wider design environment. Seeing our pieces alongside the work of other Ukrainian creators added a new perspective and reinforced the value of collaboration, curation, and shared creative space. Even years later, this chapter remains connected to the origins of the brand and to the gradual formation of its own visual language.
